JENNY
MEDINA
MORRIS
Founder & Managing Director
Jenny created OC with the vision to bridge the cultural gap between organizations and multicultural audiences. 🌍 With over 25+ years of experience, she is a communications powerhouse. Previously, Jenny wrote advertorials introducing new consumer products to the Latin American wholesale market for Fortune 500 clients such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Gillette. She also produced a documentary about Inca culture for Yale University and led award-winning PR campaigns.
🌟 Notable achievements include registering 20,000 new Hispanic voters, surpassing Connecticut's Secretary of State's goal of 10,000. She also managed the reputation of National Penn Bank, named "People's Favorite Bank" in Pennsylvania, and raised awareness about human trafficking along the Tijuana-Baja California border. Additionally, she led PR plans for The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and Northeast Utilities (now Eversource), to name a few.
Born and raised in Lima, Perú, Jenny began her career as a journalist during the dictatorship of Alberto Fujimori and the Presidency of Alejandro Toledo. 📰 She authored exposés on government issues, served as a correspondent at The Congress of the Republic of Perú, and wrote human interest stories for prominent Latin American media outlets such as Radio Programas, Panamericana Television, Caretas, and Gente magazine. This experience ignited her passion for social issues and deepened her understanding of cultural nuances.
In her spare time, Jenny serves on the programming committee for the New Haven Documentary Festival 🎥 and enjoys travelling, reading, and listening to podcasts.
